Meet Megan
A warm, steady space to feel seen, heard, and understood
Anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, parenting struggles, or supporting a loved one’s mental health. Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to face it alone. I’m Megan, a Registered Psychotherapist with The Heart of Healing Counselling Services, and I offer compassionate counselling for students, young adults, women, men, and parents across Ontario.
My approach is collaborative and paced to you. Together we focus on emotion regulation, interpersonal challenges, and navigating life transitions. When you’re ready, we also lay the psychoeducational groundwork that supports deeper trauma processing. We make sense of the past, build confidence, and reconnect you with your strengths.
I’m also a Certified EFFT Caregiver Workshop Facilitator, so I bring particular care to supporting parents and caregivers who are holding a lot for the people they love. Healing starts with a supportive environment and a real connection. A place where you feel safe enough to be your authentic self.
My hope is that our work gives you room to breathe. To navigate the hard moments with support, and to reconnect with the things that bring you joy and balance. When you’re ready, I’d be glad to walk alongside you.

How I can help
Support for what’s weighing on you right now
Many people I work with come in feeling stretched thin, stuck, or unsure where to start. Here’s where we often begin together.
Anxiety & stress
Calm a racing mind and an overloaded nervous system with practical, everyday tools you can actually use.
Depression & low mood
Gently rebuild momentum, motivation, and a sense of connection when everything feels heavy.
Trauma & PTSD
Build safety and stability first, then move toward processing difficult experiences at a pace that’s right for you.
Parenting & caregiving
EFFT-informed support to help you stay connected and steady while caring for a child or loved one who’s struggling.
Life transitions
Find your footing through change. School, work, relationships, identity, and the in-between moments.
Self-esteem & relationships
Strengthen your sense of self, set healthier boundaries, and ease conflict in the relationships that matter most.
My approach
Evidence-informed therapy, tailored to you

- Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT): Practical skills for managing big emotions, distress, and relationships when feelings run high.
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): Make room for difficult thoughts and feelings while taking meaningful steps toward what you value.
